How to Apply for FCPS Part 1 Exam?

In this Post we will tell you How can you Download Online Form, How to Fill it , what are the steps to Fill it, What are the Requirements for filling this form, what is the Eligibility Criteria for this Exam and every thing you want to know about submitting FCPS Form Online.

Eligibility Criteria: 

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria in order to apply for FCPS Part-I Exams:

  • An MBBS or BDS or equivalent qualification registered with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC)
  • One year of House Job done in a Teaching Hospital recognized by PMDC. Job must have been completed one month before the date of examination.
  • Must have a valid PMDC Registration or renewal receipt with provisional PMDC Registration Certificate.

Examination Centers

Computer-Based Examination is conducted at the following examination centers CPSP Karachi & Regional Center Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Quetta, and Peshawar.

Documents Required for Online Application

  • Two recent Photographs with clear identity. One Photograph should be attested from the front.
  • Original / Attested copy of CNIC.
  • Original / Attested copy of MBBS / BDS Degree or Provisional Certificate.
  • Original / Attested copy of valid PMDC Registration Certificate or renewal receipt with Provisional Registration Certificate.
  • Original / Attested copy of House Job Certificate duly countersigned by the head of the institution. Note: Attesters must be the Fellow of CPSP (Fellowship Number should be mentioned) OR Principal / Professor of PMDC approved Medical College / Postgraduate Medical Institute Medical Superintendent / Head of the Medical Institutions.

Steps for Online Application Submission

Step 1 Open the below link and click on the respective term in which you want to apply Click Here to Apply Online
Note: Read the Notification first as it contains the last date of the submission of fee.
Step 2 The online form has two steps. Click on For Step 1 to Register

Step 3 Select Fresh Registration Type (If appearing for the first time) from the drop-down menu and enter your PMDC Number and your valid email address.

Step 4 After clicking on the submit button, you will receive an email containing the verification code.

Step 5 Copy the verification Code from your email and paste it into the verification code box and be sure to tick the checkbox.

Step 6 Now carefully select the specialty and examination center in which you want to appear. Fill in your Profile Information as per your Degree and upload your Photograph (Unattested). Note: Image should be less than 1 MB

Step 7 Enter your Present and Permanent Address. If your Permanent Address is the same as that of your Present Address than tick the checkbox.

Step 8 Enter your Professional Qualification Details. Now you have to submit the fee (PKR 15050/-) first in order to proceed further. There are three modes of payment. Select any one option 1) Bank Challan (will be generated after you submit the form) 2) Pay Order / Demand Draft 3) Debit / Credit Card Note: If you select the Pay Order / Demand Draft Payment option, then you will have to submit the original Pay Order / Demand Draft to CPSP Regional Office. You should also mention your form number and name at the back side of the Draft. Before submitting, make sure to take the clear picture of that. If you select Bank Challan Option, then you will have to submit it to the designated UBL Branches.

Step 9 You will receive an email containing your form. Download and get Print Out of this PDF File.

Step 10 Now go back to Step 2 and click on the next step

Step 11 Enter your form number and verification code which you received earlier in your email.

Step 12 Sign the Printed Form which you downloaded in Step 9. You can scan the required documents or can take a clear picture of your documents. Now you have to convert them one by one to a PDF File.

You can either upload the original or attested documents. Once you have uploaded the documents, tick the checkbox and click on submit application button to submit your application.
Note: You don’t need to have send the paid copy of Bank Challan to CPSP Karachi / CPSP Regional Center

Pakistan

Eligibility
  • M.B.B.S. (B.D.S. only for FCPS-I in Dentistry) or equivalent qualification registered with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council.
  • One year House Job in an institution recognized by PMDC.House Job must have been completed one month before the date of examination.
  • Valid PMDC Registration Certificate (Duly Attested) or renewal receipt plus provisional PMDC registration certificate

Application
  • Visit the CPSP website: www.cpsp.edu.pk
  • Click on Exam Application Form, it will lead you to this page https://www.cpsp.edu.pk/examination-forms.php
  • Then click Online examination form for Part 1 (For Pakistan, Saudia Arabia or Nepal).
  • Another window will be opened. Read the details by opening the relevant notification then click on apply to fill the form
  • FCPS-I exam form has two steps
Step 1
  • Fill in the online application form
  • Select registration type Fresh or Repeater.
  • Fresh should enter PMDC No and email address. The repeater should enter enrollment No. assigned to them in their last exam.
  • To confirm your email address, a verification code will be communicated at your email address.
  • After putting the verification code in the form given, you will be redirected to the actual form.
  • Complete the application form.
  • While filling the application form, take care of the Subject in which you are applying and Center for your exam. If a mistake happens in these fields, it becomes messy later on to get these changed.
  • After filing the form, you will get a pdf file with form #  in your respective email, that will be used in step 2.
Fee
  • The fee is usually 15050 rupees.
  • The form also contains a challan form, which you have to deposit in associated banks of CPSP or you can deposit in CPSP regional offices.
  • You can also get a Draft in the name of CPSP from any bank. The draft must be submitted to CPSP Regional Center or finance department CPSP Karachi.
  • Or you can deposit online through a debit card or credit card
Documents Required
  • Original/Attested Photocopies of the following documents to be attached
  • MBBS /BDS Degree Or Provisional Certificate of Medical College.
  • Valid Pakistan Medical & Dental Council Registration Certificate. In the case of foreign candidates, a valid registration certificate of their own country’s medical council, equated by PMDC. If the PMDC certificate is expired then along with this expired PMDC provide fee receipt for renewal of PMDC.
  • Certificate of One Year House Job from institutions recognized by PMDC, duly countersigned
    by the head of the institution. House Job must have been completed one month before
    the date of examination.
  • Original/Attested photocopy of Computerized National Identity Card.
  • All attesters must be one of the followings:
    1- Fellow of the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan with his Fellowship Number.
    2-Principal/Professor of PMDC approved Medical College/Postgraduate Medical Institute
    Medical Superintendent / Head of the Medical Institutions
  • Scan the bank deposit fee and all the attested documents in pdf format then proceed to step II
Step 2
  • Enter Form # generated and verification code generated in step 1.
  • Attach the required documents i.e. signed form, challan form, attested picture (all in pdf format)and submit the application.

Note:

  • Once, you submit the application, you will receive a confirmation email. At the end of this email, a link to the eportal will be given along with username (form no.) and password (validation code). This will help you in accessing your eportal.
  • All the documents are now submitted online, nothing is deposited in CPSP regional office, but if you have bank draft then you have to submit it in the CPSP offices.
Refund of Fee

If someone wants to refund fee; he/she can do it before a specified date mentioned in official notifications. Seventy-five percent of the examination fee may be refunded to the candidate under the following conditions:

  • Application for withdrawal from the examination if received on or before the specified date.
  • Rejection of the application by CPSP on account of ineligibility.
  • While applying for a Refund, the candidate should write his / her name, center, subject, and bank receipt number.
  • Application for the refund, must be submitted on the eportal from now onwards. Enter the username (form no.) and password (validation code) you received through email after completion of Step 2 for form submission.
  • Hard copy/email for Refund(Withdrawel) will not be acceptable.
  • In all other cases, the fee paid for a particular examination shall neither be refunded nor carried over to the next examination in case of absence/exclusion from the examination for any reason.
Change subject, center or address

If someone wants to change subject, center or address after filling up the form; he/she can do so before a specified date mentioned in official notifications.

  • PKR. 1500/ are charged for this process
  • Application for the change of subject, change of center & change of address must be submitted on the eportal from now onwards. Enter the username (form no.) and password (validation code) you received through email after completion of Step 2 for form submission.
  • Hard copy/email for Change of Subject, Change of the center will not be acceptable.

Saudia Arabia

Eligibility
  • M.B.B.S. (B.D.S. for FCPS-I in Dentistry) or equivalent qualification registered with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council Or Graduation from Medical Colleges listed in the World Health Organisation list of approved institutions and recognized by Saudi Commission for Health Specialities.
  • One year House Job in an institution recognized by PMDC/CPSP/Saudi Commission for Health Specialities. House Job must have been completed Two months before the date of examination
Application
  • Visit the CPSP website: www.cpsp.edu.pk
  • Click on Exam Application Form, it will lead you to this page https://www.cpsp.edu.pk/examination-forms.php
  • Then click Online examination form for Part 1 (For Pakistan, Saudia Arabia or Nepal).
  • Another window will be opened. Read the details by opening the relevant notification then click on apply to fill the form
  • FCPS-I exam form has two steps
Step 1

  • SR 650/- to be deposited in National Commercial Bank (A/C No. 20159007001306) n favor of Saudi Commission for Health Specialities
  • Both the bank slips to be attached with the hard copy of exam application form for deposition in the office of Saudi Commission for Health Specialities.
  • If the application is submitted after date, another SR 500/- as late fee in favour of Saudi for Health
    SpecialtiesKSA/College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan.
  • The form also contains a challan form, which you have to deposit in associated banks of CPSP or you can deposit in CPSP regional offices.

P.O Box No 94656, Riyadh‐11614, Saudi Arabia.
  • Once, you submit the application, you will receive a confirmation email. At the end of this email, a link to the eportal will be given along with username (form no.) and password (validation code). This will help you in accessing your eportal.
Refund of Fee
