Its complete guideline for FCPS – 1. I have been guiding FCPS – 1 exam for the last 6 year FCPS 1 is crucial exam every medical candidate wishes to pass it full preparation of 3 months are required to pass this exam (with or without job). Books required to pass this exam are:
1. SK – KIM Last day Revision Notes 2nd Edition.
2. SK – Golden Files 1 – 8 of (Medicines, Surgery, Gynae and Anesthesia of your chosen specialties).
3. SK – Recent Golden Files i.e. Golden files from Golden 9 and onwards.
4. BRS Physiology and BRS Pathology.
5. Short Snell Anatomy
Briefly Description:
Physiology: Start with the aim that I will pass with my full effort start with BRS physiology and complete it within 15 days. Whatever you study from BRS Physiology at extra point in last days revision notes and then revise Physio from SK – KIM last days revision notes in your last days.
Anatomy: Start with the aim that I will pass with my full effort start with Short Snell and complete it within 15 days. Whatever you study from Short Snell at extra point in last days revision notes and then revise
Anatomy from SK last days revision notes in your last days. Pathology: General Pathology more than enough from last days revision notes. Special pathology notes should be done 1st Aid USMLE + SK – Last days’ revision notes. Minors: Biochemistry, Biostatics, Microbiology, Pharmacology, General Anatomy, Histology, Embryology or more than enough given in SK – Last days their revision notes. There is no need to studies from other
sources. Otherwise you waste your time. Golden Files: Golden files are utmost important for FCPS Part – 1 exam. Idea that how Part 1 paper in exam what sort of MCQs will come and definitely there is 50 – 60% repetition from these golden files in your exam. They are present in different specialties books i.e. SK – Surgery Golden files, SK – Gynae/Obs Golden file, SK – Anaesthesia Golden file, SK – Medicine Golden file.
