3 days workshop divided in 9 modules/ sessions.

DAY 1:

Module 1: 0900_ 11:30
*Welcome and orientation
*What Examiner expects from candidate.
*Effective history taking and examination of head and neck
*General physical examination and systemic examination
*Examination of swelling and ulcers
*Examination of cranial nerves

Tea break

Module 2: 11:45_ 13:45
*Identification and uses of various instruments/ materials used in OMFS
*Radiographs interpretation of pathologies including CT Scan/ MRI/ PET scan etc

Lunch & prayers.

Module 3: 14:15_ 17:15
*Head & neck oncology comprehensive lecture & interactive session covering all important aspects including
*staging and diagnostic requirements
*surgical ablation of various sites according to latest guidelines of NCCN/ AJCC
* Neck dissections
*postoperative management & complications
*Radio & Chemotherapy role *new modalities including molecular targets/ gene therapy/ immune therapy
* palliative care principles
* Reconstruction options including free flaps detailed discussion
*Follow up policies







DAY 2:

Module 4: 0900_ 11:30 
Maxillofacial trauma including:
*Detailed local examination of maxillofacial/ spine skeleton and chest/ abdomen/ neurological status.
* initial management of trauma patients including airway, breathing, haemostasis, BLS & ATLS
*fractures mandible, lefort, zygoma
*fluid & nutritional management of trauma patients

Tea break

Module 5: 11:45 to 13:45
*management of orbital fractures
* Nasoethmoidal fractures
*Frontal sinus fractures

Lunch & prayers:

Module 6: 14:15_ 17:15
Maxillofacial pathology including:
*cysts and tumours of jaws
*osteomyelitis/ ORN/ BRONJ
*Metabolic processes involving jaws
*oral submucous fibrosis

DAY 3:

Module 7: 0900 _ 11:30
Miscellaneous topics interactive discussion including:
*TMJ ankylosis management and concept of distraction osteogenesis
*Implant surgery and optimization procedures
*cleft lip and palate, syndromes affecting maxillofacial region

Tea break

Module 8: 11:45_ 13:45
Mock Exam including:
*TOACS involving static & interactive stations
*Short cases presentation

Lunch & prayers

Module 9: 14:15_ 17:15
Mock Exam including
*Long cases
*Collective feedback/ advice on individual basis by facilitator
